The video platform: a six-month plan

From 2 November 2026 to 30 April 2027: build a platform that turns an idea into a finished, editable video, sell it to creators and to agencies, and use it ourselves to make Kirata.

The agreement
Sarthak
Covers salaries for six monthsFrom November 2026 to April 2027, so Prashanth can work on the product full time.
Prashanth
Builds the platform full timeHe hands client handling to a new hire and builds the product himself with AI tools.
New hire
A client managerTravels to client locations, sells our software and looks after existing clients: the work Prashanth does today.
Ownership
A company product, owned 50/50The platform belongs to the company, owned equally by Sarthak and Prashanth. We put this in writing in week one.
What we have already proven

With Claude and our API keys (Gemini for images, Kling for video, ElevenLabs for voice, music and sound effects), we made the Kirata trailer from a storyline. Everyone who has seen it has loved it. The method:

Story→Script→Narration→Music→Sound effects→Video shots→Assembled in Premiere Pro

Every element is generated as its own file and kept on its own layer. To change the music or one shot, we regenerate only that piece, not the whole video. This is what makes long videos, and even a feature film, possible. It is also what most AI video tools don't offer: they produce one flat video that you can't edit.

The product

A web platform where anyone can describe the video they want and get a finished video back, with every layer still editable. It starts with Instagram reels and short social media videos, and grows to longer videos.

Describe the video→Approve the script→Pick voice and music→Generate shots→Fix any one layer→Download (reel, square, wide) or open in Premiere Pro
Three lines of business

B2C

Creators and small businesses

Self-serve reels and short videos for Instagram, YouTube and ads.

A low monthly plan with video credits. Launch: February 2027.

B2B

Agencies and production houses

Team workspaces, brand kits, longer videos and export to their own editing tools.

Seats plus credits, on contract. Pilots: March 2027.

SYU Studio

Our own production studio

We use the platform to make Kirata. This proves long-form quality and gives us a showcase.

Film revenue; the best marketing for B and C. First sequence: April 2027.
What a video costs us to make
From the cost log we kept while making the Kirata test scene, a finished 30-second reel costs roughly ₹600–1,000 in API fees at today's prices (video shots are most of it). So the B2C plan has to be credit-based, where each plan includes a number of videos, and not unlimited. We confirm the exact cost per reel in month one, before setting prices.
The timeline

Tap a month to open it. Set each milestone's status as you go; dates can move, and both of us see every change.

What could go wrong, and what we do about it
  1. One builder is a bottleneck.Prashanth builds alone. We keep the scope tight (reels first, long videos later) and protect his time from client work. That is the reason for the new hire.
  2. The client handover slips. If the new hire isn't in place by 30 November, Prashanth keeps getting pulled back into client work. Hiring is the first job of the plan.
  3. API costs rise or a provider changes its model. We keep two video engines so no single provider can stop us, track the cost of every video, and price with a margin.
  4. Quality isn't consistent enough for paying users. The private beta in January exists to find this out. The gate at the end of month three decides whether we launch or fix first.
  5. Content and rights. No real people's faces, and we follow each provider's content rules. Videos are clearly made with AI, and customers own what they make.
How we follow this together

We meet once a month, on the first Saturday, for 30 minutes: what moved, what is blocked, and whether any dates need to change. The status on this page is how we see progress between meetings. The two decision points are the end of month three (launch or fix first) and the end of month six (what comes next).

Shared between Sarthak and Prashanth. Status, dates and notes save for both of you.
